Brisbane Musical Theatre holds auditions for all shows several months prior to the production.

Membership Fee: $75 inc GST

If you are cast in one of our shows you will be required to pay a $75 membership fee at the first rehearsal. This is a 12 month membership and will allow you to audition for any BMT productions in that period.

There is also a $50 Script Deposit.
To be refunded upon return of a clean (erased) script at the end of the production.

STEP 1: Memorise Monologue

Memorise this monologue with the required characterisation and accents. We suggest to research the musical and be familiar with the characters in the musical, in particular the role you are auditioning for. Be ready to improvise at the directors discretion.

STEP 2: Learn a song

At the bottom of the Monologue sheet will be a song and link to a YouTube video. As part of the audition you will need to sing this song and also dance. The dance choreography is taught on the day. We also suggest to be familiar with other songs from the show.

BMT produces a T-Shirt for all our productions. If you would like a T-shirt please complete this form and bring to your audition along with payment.
